The European Conference on Cognitive Ergonomics

15 – 18 September 2026 Siena, Italy

Posters

ECCE 2026 welcomes the submission of posters. Poster submissions allow for the presentation of work in progress, where a level of maturity that makes it valuable to present to the community has been reached. Whilst the broader work may not be completed, the contents of the poster submission should still make a clear contribution to broader cognitive ergonomics or human-media interaction knowledge, whether realised or while under development with promising initial steps.

Posters present a valuable opportunity for longer, in-depth face-to-face discussions of the work, in a way that may not be possible with papers. We welcome posters where the work and authors will benefit from this interaction, such as those reporting late-breaking and cutting edge work, emergent new technologies, preliminary and on-going work, in any of the conference themes.

The extended abstract is a 4-to-6 page description (including references) in the Extended Abstracts Format. It should be self-contained and clearly describe the novelty and distinguishing ideas of your work, even for readers who cannot view the related poster at the conference. It should also include a brief description of related research and a clear description of the work, along with future work plans.

Submission Details

All posters must be submitted through EasyChair.

After logging in as an author, you will be able to select the appropriate submission category.

All submissions must follow the ACM publication templates.

The extended abstract is a 4-to-6 page description (including references) in the Extended Abstracts Format.

Authors should also upload the poster to be presented at the conference as a still image with at least 1500 x 1200 px. To upload the image please use the field for Additional materials that you can find in the submission form.

Templates and formatting guidelines are available here:

Please ensure that your submission is fully anonymized:

  • Remove author names, affiliations, and identifying information from the manuscript.
  • Ensure that metadata (such as document properties) do not contain author information.
  • References to your own previous work should remain in the bibliography, but should be written in the third person (e.g., “As described in [10]…” instead of “In our previous work [10]…”).

To ensure that we get as late-breaking work as possible, posters will be a highly selective juried track, so authors should not expect in-depth reviews

Accepted posters will be presented during the conference in the posters area.
The organisers will provide a poster stand to hold an A1-sized poster in any orientation. We aim to have the posters visible on all days of the conference.Poster authors are expected to be present at their poster during dedicated poster sessions. Poster presenters need to print the poster themselves, as well as attach it to the poster wall as instructed before the conference.

The extended abstract will appear in the Proceedings of ECCE 2025, published in the ACM Digital Library.
Eventual multimedia materials will be published as source material in the ACM Digital Library.

At least one author of each accepted paper must register for ECCE 2026 and present the work at the conference.
